Why take the ACT test in July?

Are you planning on taking the ACT® test in September? You now have an earlier option! ACT has added a test date on Saturday 13 July.

Many students in grades 11 and 12 take the ACT in the summer. Here are some reasons why.

Get ahead on the university admissions process. Grade 12 students who take the test in July can place themselves ahead of schedule for applying for university in time for early admissions deadlines in November and beyond.

There is more time to retest. Students who are considering taking the ACT more than once can use their July test score as a benchmark to beat–or they can achieve their target score earlier than expected. (The majority of students who take the ACT more than once improve their score.)

The ACT offers more opportunities to test. In addition to the July test date, you can take the ACT in September, October, and December in 2019. After June 1, the SAT® test will not be offered until October.

Register today! Registration deadlines are:

  • Deadline: 21 June 2019
  • Late deadline: 28 June 2019 (late fees apply)

Remember, because the ACT is a computer-based test, you will get your ACT scores back in just 2-3 days! That means more time to plan for your future!
